Yes, well-behaved pets are welcome at MTN Fun Basecamp, with a maximum of 2 pets per site. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and should never be left unattended. Please ensure your pet does not engage in excessive barking, and be sure to clean up after them to maintain the cleanliness and enjoyment of the campground for all guests.
-
Firewood is available for purchase at $10.00 plus tax per bundle, and ice is $5.00 per bag, both from 2:00 PM until closing at the Camp Office.
-
We welcome friends and families camping at the same time, but please be aware of the following important policies:
Each campsite has its own maximum occupancy, which must be respected at all times. This includes all adults and children over age 2. Please refer to your site description for specific limits.
We do not allow “grouping” of sites—this includes setting up shared kitchens, canopies, or gathering areas on a single site for use by multiple parties. Each site must remain self-contained and within its intended use and capacity.
Campsites may not be rented for parking or gear storage only. Any campsite booked must include a valid camping setup (tent, trailer, camper, etc.) and must be actively occupied overnight.
If you're booking multiple sites, please note that some sites are not suitable for group-style visits. We do not guarantee or prioritize placing group bookings near each other.
We reserve the right to reassign site numbers at any time to manage availability, accommodate longer stays, or balance campground flow. While we do our best to honor preferences, we are not responsible for keeping groups together.
Violation of these policies may result in your group being asked to reduce your setup, relocate, or leave the property without refund.
Thank you for helping us keep MTN Fun Basecamp peaceful, fair, and enjoyable for everyone.

-

Walk-ins are not accepted from May through September.
Please book online at least 24 hours in advance.
If you email us on the day of your planned arrival and 2+ nights are available, we may be able to accommodate you.
Please do not show up at the campground without a reservation from May through September — we do not accept walk-ins or last-minute arrivals during this period.
For booking inquiries, email only. No last-minute phone calls, please.
-
Minimum Stay Policy – May 1 to September 30
At MTN Fun Basecamp, we focus on providing a better experience for guests staying multiple nights. As such, all accommodations require a minimum stay of 2 nights during our main season (May 1 through September 30). This applies to:
Campsites
Tiny Cabins
Hotel Rooms
We do not offer single-night bookings in-season, with a few rare exceptions:
Travel Partner Guests – If you're booking through one of our trusted RV or travel partners, you may have access to a one-night booking code.
Flexible Multi-Night Guests – If you're booking 2+ nights and are open to changing sites during your stay, we may be able to accommodate you depending on availability.
In most cases, single-night gaps are left open to preserve flexibility for longer-stay guests who booked in advance.
If you see a one-night opening and believe your stay fits one of the exceptions above, feel free to reach out — we’ll do our best to accommodate your request if it fits our business model and availability. -
We offer a variety of options to accommodate all types of guests and ensure a comfortable outdoor experience.
Dry camping/unserviced sites: Enjoy a rustic experience without electricity, water, or sewer hookups.
RV/Serviced sites: These sites include either 15, 30, or 50 amp power, as well as water and sewer hookups. (*Except Green 8, which does not have sewage)
Tiny cabins: These cozy cabins are situated on individual sites where you’ll cook outdoors using your own gear.
Trailers: We have a limited number of trailers available for rent on serviced sites.
Cabin-style hotel rooms: We also offer 6 comfortable, cabin-style hotel rooms for a more convenient stay.
-
We want all our guests to feel safe, treated fairly, and informed. While we’re open in all kinds of weather, sometimes nature throws us a curveball — like wildfires, floods, or road closures. Here’s how we handle things when that happens:
If We Have to Cancel Your Stay
If we need to close the campground due to wildfire, extreme weather, evacuation orders, road closures, or any similar event:
You’ll get a full refund for your booking, no matter how close it is to your arrival date.
We’ll reach out to you right away with updates and next steps.
If You Decide to Cancel Due to Weather
If the campground is still open, but you decide to cancel because of smoke, air quality, or other weather concerns:
Our regular cancellation policy will apply.
Important: Bookings Made Before March 2025
Some bookings made before March 2025 were processed using our old payment system.
We’re no longer able to issue refunds for those payments because that system has been permanently shut down.
In those cases, we’ll give you a credit for the full amount, which you can use for a future stay anytime in the next 24 months.
We know this isn’t ideal, and we’ll do our best to make the credit easy to use when you’re ready to rebook.
How Refunds Work
In the case of a campground closure, refunds or credits (depending on when your booking was made) may take a bit of time to process as we manage everything on our end. In some cases, we may also need to work with our insurance provider before issuing refunds. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during these situations.
Consider Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance to help cover unexpected issues, especially during wildfire season.
-
Yes, but it’s rare. While we try to honor site preferences, MTN Fun Basecamp reserves the right to reassign site numbers at any time to manage availability, accommodate longer stays, or improve campground flow.
That said, we will never downgrade your site—if a change is necessary, we will always move you to an equal or upgraded site in terms of quality, privacy, or location.
If you’re booking as part of a group, please note that we do not guarantee that sites will be adjacent or nearby. Contact us in advance and we’ll do our best to help.

🏕️ Group Size & Visitor Policy
MTN Fun Basecamp is designed as a quiet, respectful home base for outdoor adventure — not a group hangout or party destination. To protect the guest experience and keep things running smoothly, we have the following policies in place:
👥 Group Bookings & Size Limits
We welcome friends and families camping at the same time, but please be aware of the following important policies:
Maximum group size is 12 people total, even across multiple sites. Groups larger than 12 are not permitted without prior written approval from MTN Fun Basecamp.
Each campsite has its own maximum occupancy, which must be respected at all times. This includes all adults and children over age 2. Please refer to your site description for specific limits.
We do not allow “grouping” of sites — this includes setting up shared kitchens, canopies, or gathering areas on a single site for use by multiple parties. Each site must remain self-contained and used as intended.
Campsites may not be rented for parking or gear storage only. Any site booked must include a valid camping setup (tent, trailer, camper, etc.) and must be actively occupied overnight.
Guests may book up to 2 sites, provided the total number of people remains within the 12-person group limit. If you're booking more than one site as part of a group, please email us first. We'll help guide you through the process and make appropriate arrangements so your group can enjoy your stay — without negatively impacting others.
We do not guarantee or prioritize placing group bookings near each other. Some sites are not suitable for group-style visits.
👋 Day Visitor Policy
Day visitors are only permitted if your group remains within your site’s occupancy limit. For example, if your site allows 4 people and you're already at 4, no visitors are allowed.
Visitors must be approved in advance. If you plan to have any day visitors, you must email us ahead of time to request permission. Unannounced visitors are not allowed.
Visitor vehicles are never allowed on site — not even temporarily. We do not allow visitors to drive in, drop off passengers, or unload gear. All visitor vehicles must park off-site, with no exceptions.
We do not offer overflow or extra parking.
We reserve the right to charge a fee for day visitors if we determine it is necessary based on site use, behavior, or additional impact to facilities.
Visitors must follow all campground rules, including quiet hours. Guests are fully responsible for the conduct of any approved visitors.

MTN Fun Basecamp is designed to provide a quiet, welcoming environment for individual travelers, couples, and families exploring Squamish’s outdoor adventures. To protect the experience of our guests, commercial use of our facilities—such as guided tour groups, outfitter bookings, or any form of organized travel group—is not permitted without our prior written approval.
This includes but is not limited to:
Tour operators or booking agents reserving multiple sites or cabins
Organized group travel or packaged itineraries
Third-party catering or service vehicles (e.g. breakfast trucks, gear delivery, etc.)
We do not allow external service vehicles to enter the property without advance arrangement, and no arrivals or service activities may occur during our quiet hours (10pm–8am) under any circumstance.
If you are a tour company or group organizer wishing to use MTN Fun Basecamp as part of your offering, you must contact us in advance to request approval. Unauthorized commercial bookings are subject to cancellation without notice.
For small group stays not associated with a commercial operator, please refer to our Group Booking Policy in the FAQ above.
Campground Rules & Etiquette
-
Our quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am to ensure a peaceful stay for all guests.
-
You’re welcome to enjoy quiet, acoustic music at your site—think campfire guitars or other non-amplified instruments. However, amplified sound of any kind is not permitted, including Bluetooth speakers, sound systems, subwoofers, or portable projectors. This helps maintain a peaceful environment for all guests.
Screens, projectors, or outdoor movies are not allowed, even with headphones. If it lights up or makes noise beyond your own site, it’s likely not appropriate here.
During our designated quiet hours, no music, instruments, or media of any kind are allowed. As a rule of thumb: if someone outside your site can hear or see it, it’s too much.
Thanks for helping us keep the vibe calm, quiet, and nature-focused.
-
Yes, campfires are allowed in designated areas only and must be fully extinguished before you go to sleep or leave your campsite. However, campfires are not permitted for hotel rooms and tiny cabins 1 and 2, as they are too close together for onsite campfires. These accommodations have access to a communal fire pit near the office. Please check local fire bans and regulations before starting a fire, and always inquire with onsite staff if you have any questions or need assistance.
-
No, foraging or gathering wood from our grounds is prohibited. We aim to keep nature intact and contribute to the ongoing preservation of our area. However, you are allowed to bring in outside firewood as long as it meets local regulations. Please note that burning fallen wood is not legally permitted in the District of Squamish. For more details on firewood regulations, please visit this link.
-
Yes, each site has a designated capacity displayed on the initial booking page, and parking for vehicles is limited. We do not offer overflow or guest parking. If your group exceeds the capacity of your site, you will need to rent an additional site or add more sites to your booking; otherwise, extra guests will not be permitted to stay if we do not have capacity. Additional guests or vehicles are subject to a fee of $10 per person per day and must not exceed the allowed capacity for your rented site.
-
We invite you to enjoy playing in or near the creek during your stay! We ask that you respect the privacy of guests staying at the creekside sites and recommend booking one of these sites if you’d like direct access to the creek.
Additionally, for those camping on DeBeck's side, we recommend staying off the rocks behind your site, as loose boulders can fall and pose a safety risk. Playing in that area could accidentally knock rocks loose into neighboring sites. Please enjoy your time outdoors while staying within the boundaries of your site to help keep everyone safe. Thank you for your understanding!
-
Bikes are welcome, especially as transportation to nearby trails.
However, the campground is not a bike park or trail — riding for fun, laps, or sport is not allowed.
Speed limit is under 10 km/h throughout the campground.
Children must be supervised by an adult when riding bikes at all times.
Riding is permitted only for transportation, not recreation — no racing, no circuits, no stunts.
Do not ride on walkways around the front or back of the lodge.
Do not ride through or across campsites, whether they are occupied or not. Stay on roads or designated paths.
Be respectful of guests walking, relaxing, or sleeping — this is a quiet zone, not a riding zone.
You can ride through the campground to access trailheads or the outside world, but not within the campground for fun. This helps keep things peaceful and safe for everyone.
Visitor Policy
-
We allow a limited number of day visitors at MTN Fun Basecamp, but they must be arranged in advance and follow all campground rules. Please review the policy below carefully:
All visitors must be approved in advance. If you plan to have any visitors during your stay, you must email us ahead of time to request permission. Unannounced visitors are not allowed.
All visitors must check in at the Camp Office upon arrival and are permitted on-site between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM only. Overnight stays are not allowed.
Visitors are only permitted if your group remains within your site’s occupancy limit. For example, if your site allows 4 people and you're already at 4, no visitors may enter.
Visitor vehicles are never allowed on site — not even temporarily. We do not allow visitor drop-offs, unloading, or quick drive-ins. All visitor vehicles must park off-site. We do not offer overflow or extra parking.
If occupancy or vehicle limits are exceeded, visitors will not be allowed to enter the campground.
We reserve the right to charge a day-use fee for visitors if we determine it is necessary based on site use, behavior, or added impact to shared facilities.
Visitors must follow all campground rules, including quiet hours. Registered guests are fully responsible for the conduct of their visitors.
-
Unfortunately, we do not have extra parking available at the campground. We recommend parking at Ray Peter's Trail on the other side of the highway, or there are limited parking spots (2-3) at the end of Depot Road, just after you turn off the highway. Please pay attention to municipal signs and ensure you park correctly. Remember not to leave anything in your vehicle.
-
Yes, you may use our showers for a fee of $10.00, payable directly to the onsite staff at the campground office, not Dialed In Cycling. Please note that this is subject to our daily capacity and how busy we are.
Amenities
-
No, some sites are designated as dry camping sites, meaning there is no electricity or water available. Please read the site map and descriptions carefully. We recommend coming prepared with backup batteries to charge your devices and e-bikes.
-
Yes, we provide showers and restrooms free of charge for all guests camping or staying with us at the campground. Guests of Dialed In Cycling can also access our showers for a fee of $10 per person. Additionally, visitors who are not staying with us but wish to use the showers can request access for $10 per person, subject to our capacity for that day. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
-
Yes, Wi-Fi is available in common areas, most serviced campsites, and all hotels and cabins. You can find the password in your booking email, ask our staff for assistance, or check the notice posted at the front of the Camp Office. Please note that Wi-Fi can be spotty in the Seacan Bunkie cabin due to its metal structure.
-
Dialed In Cycling operates on our property, providing a full-service mountain bike rental, guiding, and coaching shop. For more information, please visit their website: Dialed In Cycling.
Customer Discounts: We offer exclusive discounts for each other's customers, so be sure to ask for details!
-
The communal BBQ area is primarily for hotel and cabin guests, who can use the BBQs without staff approval. Other guests are welcome to relax or seek shelter in the space, but BBQ use for campers requires staff approval. Please be considerate and leave the area if others are waiting. Avoid occupying the space for long periods, and refrain from using it for meetings or speakerphone calls. The area is closed from 10 PM to 7 AM daily.
Fees & Payments
-
By booking a stay at Mountain Fun Basecamp, you agree to the following:
Credit Card on File
A valid credit card is required for all bookings. By providing your card, you authorize Mountain Fun Basecamp to charge for any unpaid balances, damages, cleaning costs, or fines related to rule violations.
If you booked through a third-party platform (like Airbnb), they may process charges on our behalf using your card on file.

If you believe a charge was made in error, please email info@mtn-fun.com within 5 days of the charge and we’ll review your case. -
Cleaning Fee Policy
To maintain the cleanliness and beauty of our campground and provide a pleasant experience for all guests, we have implemented the following cleaning fee policy. By confirming your booking or check-out on our website, you agree to these terms:
Cleaning Fee: A $50 cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file if guests leave behind trash, food, dirty dishes, food packaging, or personal items at their campsite, cabin, or hotel room. This includes items left in fire pits but does not include burnt or semi-burnt firewood.
Hotel and Cabin Guests: Hotel and cabin guests are held to the same standard. Leaving food, trash, dirty dishes, or personal items behind will result in the same $50 cleaning fee being applied.
Responsibility for Damages: Guests are responsible for any damages to the campsite, facilities, or property, including furniture, fixtures, or landscaping. For significant damage, guests may be charged the full cost of repairs or replacements.
Fee Notification: Any cleaning or damage fees will be communicated via email after check-out, as guests are free to depart without confirmation at that time. Payment will be processed after an assessment of the site or room.
By confirming your booking or check-out, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this cleaning fee policy.
Pet Policy
-
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome at our campground, including campsites, hotels, and cabins. We have a pet policy in place to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests.
-
Yes, you may bring a maximum of two well-behaved dogs per campsite. For hotel rooms and cabins, the limit is one pet per accommodation.
-
While we generally welcome all breeds, we reserve the right to refuse dogs that exhibit aggressive behavior. Please ensure your dog is friendly and sociable.
-

Sorry, no exceptions—no matter how good your boy or girl is.
-
No, dogs should never be left unattended at your campsite, hotel, or cabin. If you need to leave the campground, please take your dog with you.
Alternatively, you can consider our partner dog daycare, Barkendale, for professional care. Learn more about Barkendale Dog Daycare here.
-
Please dispose of all pet waste in the green dumpsters only and never in the bathroom trash. Pet waste bags are provided in various locations around the campground.
-
Dogs are generally not allowed in indoor common areas, including restrooms and shower facilities.
However, you can take them on a hike down Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass to enjoy the beautiful surroundings together.
-
There are no additional fees for pets at campsites; however, a $50 cleaning fee will be charged if any pet mess is left behind. For hotels and cabins, there is a pet cleaning fee that varies and is available on the booking form or by speaking to our staff.
